Hawa Mahal is perhaps the most photographed Indian monument after the Taj Mahal. This five storey ‘Place of Winds’ is located on the main street of the Pink City. Built by Sawai Pratap Singh in 1799, its honeycomb facade of 953 latticed windows is shaped like the crown of Lord Krishna. Hawa Mahal was designed by Lal Chand Ustad as a naturally air conditioned viewing gallery for the women of the palace without being seen themselves.
This is a tealight holder in the shape of one of the window of Hawa Mahal.
