Ajrakh block printed Kaftan in Modal Silk. With one of the oldest technique of printing fabric, this beautiful kaftan has been made by our artisans in Gujarat using all natural ingredients such as herbs, vegetable essence and natural minerals. With their hard work and expertise, the craftsmen chisel various shapes and designs inspired from nature on wood to create blocks. The base colour on the fabric is applied by hand and then designs are printed using these wooden blocks. It takes a detailed 16 step process to create Ajrakh Fabric.

In the process of handblock printing, there could be minor irregularities in the print or colour. These irregularities are a character of the craft technique.
